Serotonin, dopamine and everything in between.
Challenge is inevitable but doing it alone doesn’t have to be.
Whether it is a current issue or a longstanding difficulty, we can work together to build profound insight and increased capability in managing life's highs and lows.
My approach to therapy is often laidback and welcoming of humor. My goal is to incorporate as much "realness" as possible so that our work feels meaningful and progress feels attainable.

Client Focus
We all have different reasons for coming to therapy but our desired outcome is usually very similar — we want to feel better. I implement a psychodynamic approach to uncover the origin of symptoms for an informed understanding as to why we we think and act in the way that we do. To effectively cope with symptoms, we will explore strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy as well as dialectical behavioral therapy.

Adolescence is a formative time for anyone. Unfortunately, many struggle to maintain mental wellness while navigating their later childhood. In my work, I support teens in finding their voice, honing in on their interests, exploring problem solving and developing confidence. It is essential that teens have the tools and confidence needed to move forward as resilient individuals. To assist in this, I use skill worksheets and varying tangible resources to make learned skills more easily applicable outside of sessions.

It's never too late to seek help for something that isn't working. I work cohesively with adults to process through adverse experiences and find evidence-based solutions that actually work. This is a highly personal process as each person presents a unique set of strengths and challenges. Together, we can find what works for you so that time spent in distress is decreased and life feels less heavy.

In working with couples, it's important we bridge gaps that contribute to lost communication + connection. Although it can be difficult to turn toward, I help clients return to vulnerability to repair a once working relationship. Starting with early experiences that originally brought you together, we'll work from the past to present to rediscover the positives and unwind patterns that aren't working. Once partners are able to recognize each other's experiences and validate each other's feelings, there will be room for a meaningful new phase of the relationship.
